Civil Engineering

The Department of Civil Engineering was established in the year 2013 with an intake of 60 students. The department has been successful in producing the excellent and well-trained graduates. Today we have 160 Students and 10 members of teaching staff.

The Department aspires to be a concerted Student where leading Civil Engineering research is cross-fertilized with research from other field’s to meet the society’s need for improved safety, security and flexibility of an increasing dainty and complex infrastructure, under evolving natural and man made hazards.

The Department’s Mission is to build the knowledge and tools that will enable civil engineering to move away from pragmatic extemporary approaches into strategies based on scientifically grounded analysis using fundamental mechanics, integrating uncertainty, and navigating the conflicting objectives intrinsic in successful civil engineering.
